Hello Brian,

Well, well - it's a small world!

Thank you for the good informative report, we just had to pass it on!

My reader contains about 20 US property blogs, so it is nearly impossible to miss the best advice.

Estonia has only a little over 15 years of experience in real estate business, hence we're eager to learn. One major difference between the US and us is that our brokers still don't need a license although the agents' association is trying to make it a legal requirement.

We'll see what 2009 brings.

Sirje

Interesting, Artur. Private MLS and high standards of professionalism -- how about that!

Not that surprising. The U.S model of doing real estate business is quite popular and catching on in Central Europe.

I do some real estate business in Poland and there is even a county wide -though private- MLS and it's called the "MLS" which in Polish means nothing.

The only thing is, it takes a year of school plus an apprenticeship to get a real estate license and have to have a higher education degree. Savvy agents who implement some of the things they pick up from the report can definitely move ahead in the market.
